Howie Carr: Southie Rep. Lynch lets the truth slip out
That’s sure to cost him with the woke brigade

US Rep. Stephen Lynch suffered a political near-death experience Wednesday morning during the hearing of the House Oversight Committee.
Lynch committed an unpardonable gaffe, in the old Washington definition of the word gaffe – “when a politician tells the truth – some obvious truth he isn’t supposed to say.”
Lynch was babbling about how Trump won the election on the issue of illegal immigration when he carelessly touched the third rail of woke Democrat politics.
“I’m in a state that’s 2,400 miles from the border,” he said. “We’re gonna spend $1.5 billion on providing services and housing and everything to people who are in our state unlawfully.”
Unlawfully? Unlawfully?
Didn’t Lynch learn anything from Seth Moulton’s recent brush with The Cult? Watching it live on my laptop, I knew that the PC Posse would be ready to lynch Lynch in three… two… one….
Sure enough, less than a half-hour later, the first outraged headline appeared on the website of the failing Boston Globe:
“Lynch said migrants recently arrived to Mass ‘unlawfully.’ Many actually entered the US legally.”
Right. Wink wink nudge nudge.
That was another Biden-era scam – when hordes of Third World grifters began swarming the borders, banging their tin cups and machetes, demanding asylum (from work), their Democrat enablers issued them “parole” to enter the nation.
They were all welcomed into civilization to enjoy lifetime vacations on welfare, pending their “asylum hearings” – in 2031, giving them plenty of time to drop an anchor baby or three, so they could grab even more freebies from the stupid gringos.
Or, as the Globe pointed out, they’re legally lounging here in the foreign freeloader flophouses “through programs set up by the Biden administration specifically fleeing devastating humanitarian conditions….”
Namely, to repeat, having to work for a living.
Lynch, who turns 70 at the end of the month, knows his political career is on a banana peel. Given his racial and ethnic handicaps, he could be the next Mike Capuano (ousted by Ayanna Pressley) or Joe Crowley (ousted by AOC).
Speaking truth is very dangerous for any Democrat these days, especially in blue states. There’s always a Sam Brinton, or Dylan Mulvaney, or some woman with the first name of Fatima or Nefertiti – warming up in the bullpen, looking for the slightest weakness.
In a Democrat primary against anyone not born and raised in Massachusetts, Lynch wouldn’t stand a chance.
This is why all the ancient male Democrats in the Massachusetts delegation have become such craven sellouts to the woke mob. They’re hoping to be the last ones eaten. Fast Eddie Markey, Richie Neal and Jim McGovern have always been worthless. But Rep. Bill Keating, like Steve Lynch a long time ago, once crossed the Bulger mob, when that could be a perilous undertaking.
Now at age 72, Keating is keeping his mouth shut, laughing all the way to the bank – not only is he pocketing his $174,000 Congressional salary (plus all the tax breaks), since 2011 he’s been grabbing a state pension of $115,879 a year.
Keating knows how to duck. He’d never call the Haitian thugs “illegal aliens.” They’re… undocumented migrants.
Mayor Michelle Wu came to the hearing with the traditional shield of all “embattled” politicians – a child. The younger the offspring, the more invulnerable a pol is. She brought an infant. She also had ashes on her head – c’mon, Mayor, who do you’re kidding?
Chairman James Comer asked her about the Haitian at the flophouse in Marlboro now charged with raping and impregnating his 14-year-old daughter – the Democrats tried to cover up that atrocious crime for months, despite multiple stories in this newspaper.
The Democrats even shipped the Haitian fiend out of the county (in a taxpayer-funded limousine) to try to keep him out of jail. But he’s finally been arrested. Considering it happened outside the city, it wasn’t a perfect question for Wu, asking her what she would have done, but it got the point across.
First she said, “Whenever there’s a criminal warrant, Boston police enforce that and hold them accountable.”
Pressed by Comer, she kept refusing to answer – no Lynch or Moulton gaffes for her. She’s all in on the fundamental transformation America, whether it’s the rape of children or merely a no-whites-need-apply Christmas party at the Parkman House.
Comer continued, “Will you turn that criminal over to ICE?”
“We follow the laws,” she said, “and make sure that everyone –“
“I take that as a ‘no,’ Comer concluded.
The closest Wu came to a gaffe was under questioning by GOP Rep. Nancy Mace, who asked the mayor what for woke Democrats are a pair of trick questions.
“Do you believe that ICE arresting a child rapist quote threatens everyone’s safety end quote? Yes or no.”
“No,” Wu answered, to the shock and chagrin of 99% of her constituents in her adopted city and state.
Mace’s next question: “Does ICE arresting a murderous MS-13 gang member threaten everyone’s safety. Yes or no.”
“No,” Wu repeated.
No? Surely she meant to say that, well, Congresswoman, arresting any illegal alien, er undocumented immigrant, endangers the safety of the entire co-moon-ity, because alerting the police to a crime makes everyone who is here seeking asylum less likely to call 911 the next time their child is raped or they are threatened by an murderous MS-13 gang member….
Bottom line: Wu was handed two opportunities to denounce nativism, xenophobia, enforcing the laws, etc. and she whiffed, didn’t even get the bat off her shoulder.
We expect more of our politicians from Illinois, er Boston? Right Ayanna Pressley? Deval Patrick? Or from Oklahoma, or Connecticut – right fake Indian and Katherine Clark?
Saying “no” was a gaffe by Wu. No question about it.
All I can say is, Michelle Wu is just damn lucky she’s running against a white heterosexual native of Massachusetts who’s lived here his entire life.
In other words, in Massachusetts politics today, Josh Kraft is unelectable.
In fact, as far as Massachusetts Democrats are concerned, it would be almost unlawful to vote for some man who comes from around here, at least if he’s ever been married to a woman.
