Blog #84 My God, What the Hell is Happening?
I have been distraught for the last year, naahh, 4 years. Indeed, it could not be happening!
Shaking my head in disgust, I revolted at the intense harangue of lousy if not fake news, insane actions, and ludicrous revelations.
Here is a Top Five sampling you must already know, but by far, they are not the total list of crazy stuff:
· How can a President win an election with a basement strategy? Never going on the road to campaign except when restricting supporters to no more than a few dozen. At the same time, there are little to no press conferences or unscripted Q&A's.
· The concept of open borders meant anyone from anywhere with any background could go to any place in the US on the taxpayer's dime with more benefits than citizens. Yes, they were breaking existing laws, but who cares? Meanwhile, we send billions of dollars to other countries to protect their borders and fix their problems.
· It was declared that we have multiple sex types, no longer just two, male and female. Men can identify as women and be sent to women's prisons or compete against girls in athletics. All the nonsense of Woke, DEI, CRT, Race-baiting, and Gender ID extremist news defied all common sense if not science. Equity ruled over equality. It was okay to discriminate legally, regardless of what our Constitution says.
· We were told the economy was doing just fine. Transitory inflation was not a real problem. Just ignore what you see in the grocery stores for prices. We are doing better than we understand. The elites know our status better than us.
· We were told BLM was good, cities burning in the background were local protests, crime was down, and not to believe "your lying eyes." Yet, after the debates, the FBI admitted their statistics were wrong, and felony violent crimes had spiked high. Also, we should ignore illegal alien crimes. We should consider criminals as victims and victims as being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
· And so it goes…
What the hell is happening? I said to myself. Have we lost our minds? Where is our common sense?
I could only see a path to national failure, decline, and demise.
It is clear to me that America was falling victim to an ideology that was negative towards our culture, our business, our courts, and our Constitution. America has had more success than ANY country in all of human history, is the most generous, and has delivered the most innovation, all with a high standard of living. Yet, we have tolerated an incessant, irritating song of socialist ideology that is a proven failure in world history, with extremist activists promoting it.
They don't love America. They hate it.
Just listen to the ugliness spewed by Schiff, Newsom, Harris, Nadler, Hochul, Warren, Whitehouse, AOC, Tlaib, Plessey, Schumer, and so many others. They supported anti-Israel protests and cheered Gaza's Hamas terrorists. Anti-Semitism exploded in our Universities and cities. Christians were also persecuted.
In the closing days leading up to the Presidential election, I had grave fears that America would not wake up. Biden was an obvious mediocre, if not failed and corrupt politician. Then, it became clear that he was demented and incapable of performing the duties of President. I laughed when the Special Prosecutor said Biden was unfit and could not stand trial for crimes due to his age as an elderly man!
How stupid does one have to be to see what is staring at them with confusion and emptiness in his eyes? Biden was utterly lost without a teleprompter or note cards to follow.
Even so, Democrats, the media, and academia ignored the obvious signs. My friends and neighbors knew how I felt about Trump. Several disconnected from me. They were crippled with firm, fixed emotions.
All of this was happening with arrogant, privileged extremists gaslighting us with claims that Trump was another Hitler who would snuff out democracy, that this may be the last time we can vote, and that he is a felon who belongs in prison. It was repeated over and over ad nauseam.
Then came the earthquake: the debate, the world turned upside down. It could no longer be hidden from ordinary Americans, even as the elites conspired to hide it for four more years. The emergency effort to plug the hole in the dike with Kamala Harris was just another example of misguided, clueless, and ignorant leadership. She was destined to fail, being ill-prepared, not genuine, full of word salad, and clueless to the rejection by Americans of the Democratic insanity with a socialist platform that is anathema to American values.
What happened on Jan 20th? America woke up from a nightmare.
In the first 100 hours of Trump's second term as President, it was astonishing to see he was more productive than Biden had been in the last year. The difference was startling, even shocking to all those trying to keep up with him. Never before have I felt so relieved, with a sense of optimism, even elation, that all would be good in our future. The "climate" has changed -- not for green reasons but for the preservation of our way of life.
Yes, it is no exaggeration. We would return to a way of life proven to be a successful governance model. Here are the Top Five strategic points of focus:
· We will focus on the goodness of America, its flag, its institutions, its presence in the world, and its strength.
· We will return to capitalism, free markets, and supported by the rule of law (yes, we have had laws that were simply ignored on a grand scale). We will reject "lawfare", social justice ideologies, and protect our borders.
· We will solve problems without always using Government money. We will stop enabling a welfare state and allowing sanctuaries for illegal aliens. Stop giving away taxpayer monies for social reengineering programs. Stop giving grants to drive new industries (EVs), whether customers want it or not. Instead, we will clear paths for business entrepreneurs to invest in the US using their money – not Government/taxpayer funds.
· We will have leadership to take action and get hands-on with practical and new ideas to solve problems rather than ignore them. It's about priorities: close the border, remove and deport criminals, support critical infrastructure to include electricity generation, create new energy sources (nuclear, natural gas, oil, coal, wind, solar), and support new technologies like AI data centers, crypto, small nuclear power plants, healthcare technologies, and pharma.
· We will respect our military and reinforce their focus on lethality with advanced weaponry to dissuade our enemies from war. Hegseth has my 100% support.
· Remove the legalized form of discrimination called DEI. Return to a meritocracy and equality, and allow freedom from government intrusion into citizens' lives by over-regulation and taxation.
Most everyone is in awe of Trump's actions, energy, activity, and decisive leadership.
It’s made more apparent when we admit the systemic incompetence and recklessness for the last four years. America was subjected to a systematic campaign of lies, distortions, ineptitude, and broken leadership.
We can now look at the US with one American flag, one focus, and one leader.
The one focus is to Make America Great Again.
There is nothing wrong with putting America First.
